Whitlow from Manicure?

Please anyone I need help. I have extreme anxiety right now and I need clarity to put peace in my mind. Today I went to get a manicure and I was so happy until I noticed the nail salon person had dry peeling skin near her thumb near the nail bed. I kept looking at it and looking it wasnt a cut ir bleeding or oozing. But the skin was a little pink and the dry and peeling.

Could she have whitlow on her finger? What are the chances?

And if it was could she have spread it to me ? I didnt let her cut ny cuticles and I dont see any cuts in my hands. What are the chances that she could give me Whitlow from her hands?

I have hsv1 so could she give me the other kind???

Please i need help i feel so anxious, I cant stop thinking.

I mean no disrespect at all. You have absolutely nothing to be stressed about. Hsv is not a super contagious infection and you were at no risk.

You are WAY overreacting and over thinking this. You did not get whitlow from a manicure and you are not going to get herpes from a toliet seats. You do not need testing.

So to clarify evenif she did have any kind of whitlow on her hands the chances of her spreading it to me by touching my bare hands are zero?

What about sitting on a public toilet seat?

Do you think I should get tested and how long should I wait until I get the test?

Thank you

Whitlow can be hsv1 or hsv2.
Now on to your specific questions.
Whitlow is very rare and manicurist are not high risk for having whitlow. Whitlow is only contagious when there is an active outbreak. It doesn't shed like an oral or genital infection. The odds this was whitlow are astronomically low.
Given the remote possibility this was whitlow. There was no way she spread it to you. Intact skin is highly resistant and the fact she had no lesions means the virus was not active on the finger.

So I will sum it all up. The odds she had whitlow is so low it's not a concern. She more likely had dry skin or some other trauma from working with her hands. The odds you would contract it anyway is zero.
You can put this out of your mind.there is no way you were at risk
