So I got my results back negative for everything but I am

Hsv 1 pos
Hsv 2 negative

So I read that most of the population has hsv 1

Is that true do I have to worry about anything? Lmk

I have HSV 1 but only need to take the medicine when I have an outbreak. My gynecologist prescribed me a dose of valtrex that way I have it if I need it. Have you talked to your physician about whether or not you need meds?

Avoid kissing and oral sex when cold sores are present. Yes over half the adult population has hsv1.
You won't wver know when the virus sheds as this happens without any symptoms unfortunately.

Ok. Hsv1 is very common. Just avoid kissing and oral sex if you get an outbreak. You can spread the infection even if no symptoms are present. It's called shedding and it happens roughly 15% of days

What test came up positive for hsv1? Igm or igg? Yes, most of the adult population has hsv1
