Wondering if this is herpes or follicultis or something else?

So a week and half a go my pubic area was hurting.  I had shaved about 2 weeks prior.  The I notice about 11 red bumps appear.  The area is painful to the touch and maybe a bit under the skin.  The bumps are very small, red and the skin around them is red.  Does not seem like they have any fluid in them. They do not pop and have not changed for over a week now.  The are is still painful at times.  I do not have any problem with urination and no flu like symptoms.  Didn't think much of it until the last 2 days since it does not seem to be getting better.  Any help is appreciated.

It's probably folliculitis or razor bumps. I will inform you shaving and engaging in sex shortly after does put you at higher risk of contracting an STD/STI as small breaks in the skin allows a route of entry for bacteria and viruses.
