Worried about Herpes

Hi everyone

So here is my deal. About 3.5 months ago I received unprotected oral sex from a woman of unknown status. I had the gamet of std tests done. HIV at 12 weeks. Clam, gonn, syphllis, hep abc all at 10 weeks. Hsv 2 at 8 weeks. All were negative. I know the hsv 2 test is early at 8 weeks. I have had cold sores so I am likely to have hsv 1.

2 plus months after the encounter I develop 2 or 3 clusters of flat reddish bumps around the ring of my penis. These are not raised and don't appear to have any fluid in them. They really haven't changed in appearance after a month. They are not painful or itchy. I feel perfectly healthy otherwise . I had them examined at a std clinic a few weeks ago and the nurse said they don't look like an std based on her knowledge and experience. Im not sure what to do next. I think hsv2 us unlikely in this scenario and I don't see the point in testing for hsv 1 if I already have had cold sores. Do my symptoms seem common of herpes? It seems like a long time after exposure for the first outbreak, and the fact that they haven't changed in appearance, don't itch or hurt. I just don't know what to think at this point. Any advice or thoughts?

already told you not to be worrying about syphilis at this point.

follow up with providers as needed to find out what is going on.

Thanks Grace my hsv2 test has come back negative at 15 weeks. Is that a pretty definitive result ?

Thanks Grace-
I plan to make an appt with a dermatologist. I has a syphllis and hsv2 test yesterday. The results for syphllis are negative, at 15 weeks now . Hsv 2 results are still pending. Is it safe to put syphllis behind me now with a negatibe 15 week test?

you can contract syphilis from oral sex but the risk of such is very low. you tested negative for syphilis long enough after the encounter to make it unlikely to be syphilis too. also these don't sound like syphilis lesions at all either.

have you followed up yet on these symptoms?

If these things aren't raised, how can it be a bump? Are you sure you are looking at something that may be normal but have never noticed before? Could this be red because you have been touching it worrying about it? If you really are this concerned, no one here can diagnose it but you should go to a Dermatologist. If you want, snap a picture of it and email it to me.

I have it's just round and flat. I don't see an indication of an open sore. It's been like this for almost a week and hasn't changed. No pus, it's not raw. It's just like a flat red circle.

It doesn't sound like that. Do a photo search on google to see what they look like.

Thanks what about my last question regarding a possible chancre showing up on my shaft approx 100 days after exposure despite a 9.5 week negative syphllis test.

because herpes doesn't present itself and hang out for months at a time. The outbreaks come and go fairly quickly. You 100000% do NOT have herpes if you think that thing you have there is an indication. However, it could be HPV so you want to get that looked at.  Not saying that is what you have but it is one of the possibilities.

Thanks Grace

What makes you say that they don't sound like it all? The description? Timeline? Also I have one single one of these bumps just appear on my shaft approx-100 days post exposure. Again it is flat reddish and circular , similar to the others? Any chance this is syphllis? Thanks again.

these don't sound like herpes at all. I'd see a dermatologist at this point for further evaluation since they aren't going away.
