Worried about herpes auto innoculation

Hello, I've had herpes since I was a child. I bite my nails everyday, and I also rub my eyes quite often. I'm worried that I could have inoculated  my eye unwittingly. What are the chances of this. I don't rub my eyes anymore, nor do I touch my eyes. Thank you

Hi and welcome. Eye herpes is most often from the virus traveling up the facial nerve. If you have hsv1 oral you cant contract it again. Its in your upper ganglion already. Herpes most always breaks out in the same spot as prefers the path of least resistance.
