Worried about infection - been 7 months now..

Hi, i have query that i hope someone can help me with.  For the last 7 months i’ve been suffering from skin pain in my thighs and legs.  The pain moves around a lot but seems to concentrate on the inner/front thigh and at the groin crease area, where the hip and groin meet at the top of the leg. It’s not constant discomfort and comes on in different intensities.  sometimes i can ignore it and sometimes it’s quite sore.  the discomfort is on the skin but it doesn’t hurt to touch.
The pain moves around and i do get the discomfort in other areas on my lower legs, even feet, arms and back of the hands.

I’ve also had issues with my penis, with the same kind of discomfort but these seem to have finally eased off.  the leg discomfort has not.

My biggest fear is that i’ve contracted HSV.  I’ve had coldsores on my mouth since i was young but i’ve never had any sores in the genital area.

I paid for a private igg test 6 weeks ago and this came back positive for HSV1 and negative for HSV2.

I’ve seen over 11 doctors and all have said it’s anxiety related, i’ve even been on anxiety medication for 6 weeks and this made little or no difference.

I’m male, 43 years old and in good health, i exercise 5 times a week and i’m not overweight.  the discomfort has not stopped me doing anything but it is driving me nuts!

Am i going mad or could this be an HSV viral infection?

Thanks. no rash just skin level discomfort.  The pain feels like the skin is being stretched or pulled.  also maybe like a chapped sensation, it's not really burning although i think it did at the beginning.

There are no marks, rashes or growths, there's not even a red mark and it doesn't hurt to touch, although a light touch can give a strange sensation but not overly painful.

Could it be a trapped nerve or something like that? i've had multiple blood tests and the Doc hasn't picked anything up at all..

Hi. Many, many thanks for taking the time to come back to me again. I appreciate what you've said in the past but this has been going on for 7 months now and i simply don't know what else to do.  it's uncomfortable and seems to come and go with no clear end in site.  I'm not looking fro an HSV diagnosis, I just want to know what it could be so i can focus on a remedy.

If it is stress related, i'll take that.  I've googled it too much and read some horror stories about people with strange symptoms that have lasted for months, being told that it's definitely not herpes related and then finding out it is.  These stories have had a real impact on me and i'm finding it incredibly difficult getting the HSV possibility out of my head.  Most days it's manageable but today was especially bad.  I seem to have a fungal infection as well and took a Flucazamole on Sunday.  don't know if this has contributed to the thigh pains i've had.

It's all very weird and i'm not accustomed to having something, either mental or physical that i can't see or deal with.

Sorry for the multiple posts and thanks again for responding.

Our advice won't be any different.

Your symptoms simply are not caused by herpes. Even if you had HSV-2 there would be no reason to suspect that is the cause of these issues. You need to focus on what the doctors are telling you and relax more, occupy yourself with other things and it will all fade.

Hi again, i believe weve gone over this in detail and suggests its not herpes related  as these are not herpes symptoms. Just to be clear, what is skin pain? The only herpes that causes nerve damage is shingles but you would have had a large rash outbreak prior that would have been intense pain.
