Worried sick - herpes symptoms? Please help.

Hi, about 2 weeks ago I had a condom blowjob from a prostitute.  She was naked and rubbed her vagina on my thigh. She also locked my nipples. No intercourse.

For the past few (4-5) days I have had a slight headache and stiff neck.  No sores or blister (other than one red spot on my thigh a week ago that went away within 48 hours).  Didn't think about it at all but my partner and I had sex 4 days ago and now she has a sore throat.

I am worried beyond belief that I contracted genital herpes.  Please tell me what the chances are of this.  Can I get it by the prostitute rubbing her thigh on me?  Will there be only flu like symptoms and no blisters?  I I was in the primary stage of infection could I have passed it to my partner within 10 days of exposure?  Please please help.

To answer your questions:

1. No, the virus does not transfer well to another surface if the skin from where it is shedding (if it was at all in the first place).
2. No it is generally not possible, herpes will pretty much do what it does best upon an initial infection, result in blisters.

99% of the time cold and flu symptoms are just that!

There would be essentially a zero chance of infection given the episode you describe and lack of subsequent symptoms. Your symptoms and those of your partner are unrelated to herpes.

Thank you for your response, it helped a little bit in calming me down.  If you don't mind, one follow up post with some additional questions:

1. I did finger her vagina and anus, and then took my condom off after i ejaculated.  Chances of potentially passing the infection that way?

2. Is it possible have primary genital herpes infection symptoms WITHOUT sores or blisters, but just flu like symptoms?

I am hoping and praying that no additional symptoms appear for the next 2 weeks.  Thank you again for your response.
