Please help ...here is my issue... I am a 39 yr old circumcised hetero male in a 13 yr monogamous relationship.  I was finishing up the last of medicine for jock itch, I had a rash that was between my groin and thigh and it was cleared but again was finishing the medicine, after two weeks.. Felt some irritation? Pain? On my scrotum... 2-3 red spots/sores? Look a little wet, no blisters...went to doctor next morning.. Looked much better, no scab or fluid... No pain or irritation at all..doctor did visual inspection said looked like irritation.. No swab... Day 3-4 80 percent better, day 5-6-7 really need to look to see the healed spot... No blisters, no scabs..

I have been tested for all other stds and are negative...  5 previous partners-4 of which were long term monogamous relationships, protected and unprotected. No other stds, I'm not sure if they had blood tests for herpes because they never had, and still don't have any symptoms... The other partner was 21yrs ago, unprotected status unknown..

Here is what makes me nervous : I have been extremely stressed recently, and my genital area was itchy right before the spot showed up, I did have a rash in between my legs from sweat and work I believe..cleared up before the red spot showed up. Also the glands in my neck were swollen before the spot showed up.
The red spot never hurt or sore. With the exception of the occasional irritation, jock itch and sometimes spots from irritation in the past, I can never think of any breakout... Never any blisters, fluid, sores or scabs..

Does this sound like it could be herpes and I missed an initial outbreak at some point in past??   Real, real worried.

Only one way to know for sure, you and your partner obtain IgG testing.

I'm worried because it looks like all 3 spots have developed scabs ... After 8 days.. Didn't see blisters but was a little wet first day .... Could this be a recurrent outbreak and I missed others in the past?? Please help

I understand what you mean but I'm still worried .... To make matters worse, it looks like a little scab just developed on one of the spots after 8 days... Any ideas?

There is no need to have these concerns. If you are in a monogamous relationship, then you can simply both have the IgG test. Why worry about something that isn't even an issue?

Thanks for commenting .... This was different from June... In June, the red spot was on the head of the penis and never hurt or itch .... This was last week .. Different spot on scrotum.. Completely different look, more like a sore, a little wet at first... That's my concern.. Never had the IGG because the culture was negative..

You have had these worries since June. There is no reason to suspect herpes here.

Have you both had IgG testing for HSV? What were the results?
