Yeast Or Herpes?

today is day 4 of my first "outbreak" if i had herpes.

i had blisters that have popped and now they look like very deep cuts. before i had my out break my boy friend (who has been tested and is negative for all stds) and i had sex on ecstasy which can cause yeast infections. the next day i was very itchy and i scratched a lot. the blisters showed up the next day. i went to the hospital and they could not fully examine me. they told me it looked like herpes and prescribed me famvir and anitbiotics of some kind. it is getting better too. i keep thinking its herpes but i read everywhere that when you fist come in contact with the herpes virus that it takes 2-20 days to have an outbreak. i have also read that you can get blisters from yeast infections (in server cases) the only person i could have gotten this from is my boyfriend but he took a std test prior to our relationship and has been with no one since. i have no fever or back pain or anything. just pain when i urinate due to the blisters and and i cant tell you what my discharge looks like because im also on my period. but my period blood is sometimes pink. so i assume my discharge is white.

is it possible that i have a yeast infection instead of herpes?
and is it possible that i have always had herpes and had my outbreak now?

my boyfriend thinks its a yeast infection and im hoping it is too.
i am going to see a doctor once i am less swollen and in less pain so they can fully check, but i just needed another opinion.

is your bf sure he was tested for herpes? typically when you ask for std testing you only get tested for 2 or 3 std's. he needs to call where he was tested and find out if he really was properly tested for herpes or not.

have you ever been tested for herpes before this?

definitely wait about a week after your period is over and go and be seen at your regular doctor's. ask for a type specific herpes igg blood test just in case this isn't a newly acquired herpes infection ( in case you had it before this and just never knew it ).  Also get tested properly for yeast and bacterial infections while you are there too to cover those bases.

This sounds like more than just a yeast infection , if it even is one, so properly follow up on it.
