Young and wondering

Hello I'm a 16 year old girl and have some questions.
I recently just gave my first handjob and recieved my first fingering. I know for a fact he had not washed his hands when he came into contact with my vagina and I don't think he had touched his penis before touching me. A after I gave him a handjob I went home and went to the washroom and then washed my hands. I woke up the next morning with a very sore throat but I think it's just because of the seasons changing. I was wondering am I safe from all the dangers? was that safe sex? or should I go to the doctor?
Thanks for your time.

Hi, you were a no risk for contracting any std,s including herpes. They are not transmitted that way. You need unprotected sex to be at risk or rubbing and grinding naked genital areas to be at risk. Mutual masturbation is not a risk for any std,s.

This sounds all very low risk of anything being transmitted. I take it he is very young too such that with limited sexual experience the level of herpes infections is low amongst under 20s. No need to go to the doctor unless there is something not right down there.

I don't think the sore throat is of much concern from a herpes perspective most likely is arose from an unrelated source or I assume you kissed him so may be some bacteria.

You will have to make decisions quite soon about what is acceptable practice for you in becoming sexual with someone. Do you mutually test for all STDs explicitly including herpes or otherwise? Is a conversation about STDs sufficient including general past sexual history? Nothing at all? These are things you need to consciously consider.

Always, always use condoms before mutual testing takes place. Do not shave or wax down there before mutual testing. Know your own HSV status, particularly HSV1 (oral cold sores) before you become sexual.
