Thanks for ur advice!! So the chapped lips is not a known side effect of the antiviral, but is chapped lips a side effect from oral herpes??? Because I have never had a problem with chapped lips until recently, after finding out about my herpes?
Thanks for your advice as it is greatly appreciated,
Of course I'm no Dr. but I too have had issues with dry lips this year. Never had it before where I couldn't put Chap Stick on it and have it gone in one day. Now I can have pealing lips for 1 1/2 months at a time. I've had it while on the antivirals and off. I was wondering if there was some sort of connection between having herpes and dry lips myself even though I have genital HSV-2.
I have a small, perfectly round lesion on my upper lip. It's barely visible, but the skin peels off and it burns. Ten years ago it cultured positive for HSV 1. But since then, I have had multiple HSV antibody screens that are negative.
What other type of lesion could this be? And is there any available treatment?
