a herepes question regarding oral sex

just last night i received oral sex from a woman. to clarify, i am a man. at one point i asked her if she wanted to have sex, and she said i had to have a condom. jokingly i asked why (i was just being funny, i do use condoms) but she said  "because i have genital herpes". that was a serious mood killer and the rest of the evening was spent with me asking about her case and how long, things of that nature. she said she has never had it in or on her mouth, and tried her hardest to assure me i couldn't have contracted anything from the oral sex.

i will be getting my regular testing done soon. but my question is, could i have contracted anything? i am relatively ignorant on the topic as i don't have it and no one seems to have asked a question like this on any forum i have found.

she said she hasn't had an outbreak downstairs since 2007, and that being as its not in her mouth, i am not in danger. but she is not a doctor and i suffer from hypochondria.

so am i in danger? did i just catch herpes? please help me.
