am I positive for herpes

you were only tested for hsv1?

HSV 2 was negative too not sure exact # (i can get that later)
only IgM came back positive 0.92

the igm test for herpes is a very flawed test and shouldn't be used on adults for the purpose of diagnosing herpes. the current cdc herpes testing recommendations also reflect this.

your hsv1 igg is negative.

was there a particular reason why you tested?

my wife was tested and I understand had similar results and lost it.... so i went in to be checked, just trying to get a better understanding

HSV 2 IgG 0.02
HSV 1 & @ IgM 0.92

no, that is negative for hsv1 and hsv2 also.
