anal herpes or hemorrhoids?

I have quite a few annoying bumps on my anus. As well as inside my anus. I discovered these when I was in teh shower a week ago. I was also just tested for STDs etc at my latest physical which was last month. The DID not do a  hemorrhoid check though.

My boyfriend is waiting for results from a recent test as well, Dr. thinks his bumps in his mouth, as well as sore throat may be mono, or herpes.

Can you please advise? I am worried my bumps could be relative to my boyfriends issue?

The best thing to do is to go and be seen and get a proper exam. your provider will look for signs of external hemorrhoids as well as internal hemorrhoids as well as just get a better look at things than you can at home. If they feel that it's anything else going on, they will do proper testing.

If you both have never been tested for herpes before, why not ask for type specific herpes igg blood tests to see who has what in this relationship? While it's on your minds, get it done since odds are neither of you have ever been tested for herpes before.
