, but alas... I worried about having caught something so I found myself at my doctor's office being tested for HSV. There was nothing to swab, and the area has seemed to heal nicely, though recurring friction tends to redden the area.
I hadn't even heard about the igM test until I was at my doctor a few days ago... but in the mean time I have read up on it and realize that false positives are common
You aren't likely to have genital herpes with testing negative 2 months post encounter. If you have a regular partner they should get tested to see what their own status is.
the igm is a bad herpes test that should've never been drawn on you in the first place. Totally disregard the results because a + herpes igm is meaningless.
