are these symptoms related to herpes

I was bloodtested and was positive for hsv1. I've had 2 redspots on penis. 1 on shaft that has swollen 2-3 times in last year..1 time it split and watery fluid came out of it. The other redspot is consistent and has rarely left..It's on the corona area..This spot will extend onto glans at times and will get real shiny red. The corona next to it will inflame and turn deep purple also..This been there for almost 1 1/2 years..Can hsv1 cause this? If so, why hasn't valtrex phased it?

continue to be seen every time you have symptoms going on.   this sounds more like something non-herpes going on genitally for you.

can't get a culture because the one redspot doesn't get inflamed and full of fluid often..been taking valtrex daily but the generic doesn't prevent the redspots from recurring..i've taken antifungal pills, antifungal cream, eczema cream all of which were prescription creams...the brand name valtrex actually got rid of redspot on corona one time but it doesn't seem to work now...both redspots always recur in exact same spots when they leave { which it is rare for redspot on corona to leave} my dr says it screams herpes but i'm not convinced...never have had a blister....the recurrence of redspots in exact same spots is really only characteristic resembling herpes...has irritating burn at times on corona also....thankyou grace

the only way to know if it's herpes going on genitally is to get a lesion culture of active symptoms.

are you taking valtrex daily or just when you have symptoms?

what other sort of work up have you been through so far?
