blood blister or herpes?

I had unprotected sex with a girl last night and another time a week ago.  She is on birth control and said she was clear of STI's.  Last time I got tested I was clear as well and have regularly used condoms since.  I realize that this was still irresponsible.

My penis has a lot of skin tags on it and other lumpiness from circumcision.  This morning I noticed when I was bathing what I thought was blood, and thought I had torn one of the tags during intercourse (things were a little rough), but the redness didn't come off when I washed it.

I stretched out the skin tags for closer examination and saw that there was one larger area of redness (~3 mm) and a smaller spot (~0.5mm) about 2mm away from the larger one.  When I look at them from the side, I can't seem to see any raising or bumpiness.  Neither area is itchy or burning or anything like that, nor are they sensitive or painful when I poke at them.  The only pain is a hardly noticeable dull throbbing on that side of the penis, like like the pain I've experienced after my penis has been accidentally pinched.

Does this sound like herpes or could it be a blood blister/blood bruise?  What might I expect over the next few days if it is genital herpes?  The only other cause I can think of is that yesterday I wore jeans without underwear (and biked in them), but didn't notice any discomfort or pain from it.

I had already scheduled an appointment with Planned Parenthood next week for testing before this ever happened, so I will definitely be getting checked.  Still, it would be nice to know if this sounds like HSV.

I know it's hard to wait but really it's the best you can do.

surely I'd have had some sort of change in symptoms by now if it was HSV?  all that has happened is that these things have gotten less red...  is that a good sign?  ugh i'm scared.

Yeah that may be true, I've heard that not all doctors do HSV blood tests by default and I don't remember what tests I had, just that I had a bunch of them.

These red dots have not really changed at all since yesterday, if it was herpes wouldn't they have probably developed by now?  They are still completely under the skin (e.g. not vesicles, ulcers or sores) and don't seem to be infected in any obvious way.  Is this a good sign, or are STD symptoms known to be pretty atypical?

odds are that neither of you have ever been tested for herpes before to be honest.

going to be seen next week at PP is the best course of action. should you get more lesions , call to be seen sooner.
