burning

thursday night i recieved oral sex from a girl.. the next day i have had a burning sensation. its been about 4 days and i still feel a burning hot sensation.. i have not had any obvious sores, bumps, or rash.. and no discharge... could this be herpes? or could this just now be herpes from a previous encounter of oral sex? or does it sound like something else.. i will see my doctor sometime this week i was just wondering. i have also had cold sores on my lips before if that changes anything. thanks

Difficult to say really,you would need to have a test done,it's not likely that Herpes would present that quickly it generally would take about a week if it were,also if you already have Oral outbreaks of HSV1 it's unlikely it would move to the genital area,however if you have had unprotected sex it's possible to have both HSV1 Orally and HSV2 Genitally so best get checked to err on the side of caution.

thanks. and yes i have only had unprotected oral sex.. so could only burning without noticable lesions, bumps. blisters etc still be herpes???

The thing is with HSV1 it's difficult to know if the burning might be linked to your already Oral Herpes or not,you see when people who are diagnosed with either HSV1 or HSV2 and have never had any symptoms it's difficult to know exactly where they are infectious,Herpes is such a variable condition it may not be impossible to have HSV1 in both areas I'm not 100% sure to be honest if this is possible.
