can a herpes culture be wrong?

i am pregnant, and i had a herpes culture done. the culture returned positive. but the one bump that i got didn't look anything similar to those online, i also didn't get any of the side effects such as headaches etc. i only get the bump when i wear a particular type of lace underwear i find that when i don't wear this underwear i don't get the bump. my boyfriend has tested recently and his results were all negative. i have not cheated, and as of right now i am confused. i am wondering what i should do? could the culture be wrong? i am scared. what should my next step be?

From what you've said, you've never had an outbreak or positive test result. Both good signs. If you ever have had a full-blown outbreak, you would be fairly sure what it was. For now I would assume you are clear, unless you have STRONG evidence of the contrary.

i am 16 and pregnant.
I had found a large red lump on the side of my inner lip of my vagina.
it hurts and it quite big  i am not sure what it is and i am pretty scared cause i am pregnant.

First off you need to see your doctor tomorrow and have them look at this bump.  While bumps can be anything the best thing to do is let them look at it and if need be have them culture it.  Do this tomorrow.

You had a lesion culture which was +. the only way it was wrong is clerical error.  Do you know was it typed as being hsv1 or hsv? did you also have any herpes igg blood work done yet?  

How was your partner tested for herpes?  

You ABSOLUTELY SHOULD NOT ASSUME YOU ARE IN THE CLEAR as was suggested by a poster.
