can herpes be transmitted in other ways that sexual contact?

I want to know if herpes van be transmitted by others ways than sexual contac, like waxing ?

If you are refering to HSV2 then NO HSV2 is an STD and is only transmitted through sexual contact although actual penetration does not have to take place for it to transmit,unprotected vigourous rubbing against an infected area can be sufficient to transmit it to the genitals. Otherwise a person with genital HSV2 is no risk to anyone there has to be significant unprotected skin to skin contact with the infected area.
