can herpes be transmitted through food

My roommate has cold sore.
She ate whit a spoon from a common From a common package of sour cream, and then put it back to the fridge.
Several hours after I ate from it.

What are the chances of getting infected?
How long can herpes survive in food?
Does putting food in the prolonges the life of the disease?

Zero risk. Hsv won't be transmitted this way. It is very fragile outside tbe body and it needs to enter the skin or mucus membrane. You have nothing to worry about
