It's not typical at all to have herpes on the tongue; usually it's canker sores that would develop. If it's bothering you, see you provider for a proper exam.

Hmmm, that site doesn't say too much about herpes that occurs inside of the mouth. I dunno about sickman, but I've been getting "sores" or red spots on the tip and edges of my tongue that generally appear in the same location so I dunno if this is related to herpes or not. Though, i've been tested at the end of 9 weeks or we can say at the 10 week mark which turned out negative for both....which apparently I have read it to be still too early to test...=/

The site petal gave is a good resource on oral herpes.  If you have sores in the mouth have your provider or dentiest look at them.  They are going to be able to tell you what they are.
