cold sore

I have a question I have a pimple like spot on my upper lip got a red color too it but It never developed into a blister and when I pinch it only blood comes out never any puss or clear liquid I know I might have genital herpes from a previous encounter when I received oral I don't know if I touched my genital area then touched my mouth I'm really scared like I said I haven't tested yet and the pimple like thing doesn't seem like blisters and it's only one with a center dot I also had no tingling or burning before it showed up I popped it and seems like the swelling went down any ideas ?

1. Wouldn't cold sores appear in groups
2. Wouldn't I have other symptoms with this cold sore
2. I had no tingli

My upper lip swells underneath or either side but never at the same time. It has no blisters or sores just red sometimes.

You need to take a test specifically for herpes. Eczema is not a herpes related question. Please post this in the appropiate forum

Make sure the tests were IgG antibody type specific for HSV1 and HSV2. What were the explicit results? Always obtain the paperwork for your test results. Unless you see these test results you cannot assume they were done. So termed STD panels or asking for all STDs to be tested will omit HSV.

You will need to repeat the HSV IgG tests at 12 weeks post possible exposure.

I would tend to agree that if there are no noticeable sores after 9 days that was a quick cycle but not unheard of.

The oral sex took place 28 days ago then the the tingling began like 2 days after exposure then the sores appeared on Gential area then I waited a week and 2 days after exposure to go get tested it was the test which checks for all stds/hiv she took a blood test and urine sample then she looked at  my genital area  and said it couldn't have healed so fast but then I got negative result from them when I called back a week later & haven't went to go test again the sores appeared under the head of my penis I'm uncircumcised

This situation is flapping around a bit here, you need to take strong control of your health and your interactions with medical providers here to get an accurate diagnosis.

To be able to help, we need to know the following:
* When was you last test that was negative for HSV, what test was it and what were the results?
* When did the oral sex take place that you have concerns regarding?
* What type of sores appeared and where exactly and what time period is involved from the time of the oral sex?

Ok I'm sure Pretty sure I have genital herpes hsv1 from receiving oral because I did have tingling and then some sores appeared but that's why I was wondering if it Is possible to transfer to the mouth I wash my hands everytime I touch my genitals know & my pimple like thing on the upper lip has no type of pain know so I'm pretty sure I didn't pass it on to my mouth I also heard once you have hsv1 genital your immune to oral hsv1

I am not so sure they do say that. My take on the logic is as follows.

Once infected, herpes lesions can appear any time after infection. Days, weeks, months or years.

For a HSV free person, it is very likely that a first outbreak will occur and be 2-10 days after infection.

Thus if you are HSV free and you don't get sores 2-10 days after a possible exposure, the most likely outcome is that you were not infected.

Ok well anyways thanks why do a lot of people say it could show up after 4 weeks ?

The test must be 12 weeks plus from the time of the unprotected encounter that is of concern for you in order to be confident in the negative.

Nothing you describe gives any indication of oral herpes.

Well that's no problem going to  get tested this upcoming Wednesday it's been 1 month think this is a good time and with the red dot on upper lip only blood came out of it twice is this strange? and it seems the swelling went away..

If it was pus that came out, white or yellow with a cream like texture, then that isn't herpes.

I think your anxiety is playing too strong a role here. Do you have genital herpes or not?

Remember a very large proportion of people will be put in the box at the end of our lives with HSV. Is it worth the fear and loss of richness in life to focus on HSV?

You are not describing a herpes blister at all.

Are you sure you don't already have an oral HSV1 infection? Many people do and don't know it.

If as an adult you become infected with HSV1 then odds are there'd be no ambiguity about it, most likely you have quite distinct sores.

Tingling does precede an outbreak a lot of the time on the patch of skin that hosts the blisters. With a primary infection though, you wouldn't have this tingling long before sores appeared. No tingling probably supports the notion this is something else.
