cold sore

I got a cold sore for the first time a few months ago. I used abreva for a couple weeks until it was gone. Even after the cold sore was gone, I still have a tingle feeling at the sight. It has never gone away. Does that mean I am contagious? I have two small children and I worry about passing it.

What makes you think you had a cold sore? Have you been tested for HSV?
