I read in various forums that a negative IGM test usually means that the exposure was not recent (although I also read that the IGM test results are unreliable. However, IGM test results are usually stated to be unreliable for false-positives and not false-negatives).
I am not quite sure how to interpret this result. Popular opinion seems to say that this positive result is from a past exposure, since the IGM test came out negative. However, true positive values are > 1.1. So I am not sure where I stand, and am very anxious. Please help!
At this point your testing was far too early anyways. You'll need to repeat the igg test 4 months post encounter for more accurate results.
