could it really be?

Hi,
I am freaking out because about 12 days ago I had unprotected sexual relations...I stopped the intercourse, but at the time I was so intoxicated I can't be sure that he didn't slip it in for a second before I told him to stop. there was oral. within 48hrs the back of thighs started with this dull pain but a weird almost tingle.  it went from leg to leg and now the past week mostly just my right thigh are and buttocks a little.  I do have swollen ingroinal lymph nodes and I am more sore and tender on my right side with the tingle still (almost a restless leg feeling or razor burn feeling)(but I haven't been shaving) I have been to the DR. but it is too soon for Blood tests, so I have Clamydia (chlamydia) and ghonorrea ran, but I am still waiting to hear.  I have no lesions that I can see...I check myself morning and night.  the only thing I hhave noticed is amaybe a small scratch at the very bottom of where my butt meets thigh and that my little toe is tender. I am super OCD and I also started seeing a chripractor that same time and had adjustments done...I don't know if could be from that. my lips have been dry a bit and when they are dry I bite the skin adn they tingle from all the irritation. I have had anxiety almost all my life and I am on a verge of a nervous break down...could this be related to Herpes? and happen that quickly? no sores or blisters...I don't know what to think. My Dr. says that I need to wait 4 to 6 weeks to do type specific testing, but I just don't know if I can make it that long. Please give me some input

you don't have herpes.. this may sound weird and not believable but..its true
i had 'relations' with a girl who had herpes and i had no clue we finished and she started crying and telling me that she had liked me for so long and just wanted one night with me bla bla bla.. i felt the same way she was very cute.. i waited about 2 months
got tested NOTHING i haven't since had relations with her... and still to this day no herpes ever since i get checked for everything once a year also i have had no break outs this was 3 years ago..

Hi,

-I have heard the doctors on this board say that you don't get prodrome symptoms during a primary outbreak.  You should probably search for that post so you can see for yourself.
-If it has been 12 days since the event then any OB would definitely be a primary.

Based on the two bulleted points above I would say that your tingling is not herpetic.  On top of that, when I thought I had possibly been exposed I had psychosomatic tingling symptoms.  Maybe that is what you feel.  I hope this helps you  relax until grace can reply.

now I feel a little better. but you know that tiny like scratch like thing I told you about. there is now one reddish bump by it. its not oozing or really even tender, it looks more like a zit. but I have read that sometime people mistake them for a pimple. AHH I am just scared to death about the whole situation

if you have a new bump, go and be seen today or tomorrow so they can culture it.

Hi grace,
Question...doesn't my bump have to be an open sore to be cultured? I examine myself all the time and things I never would have even thought twice about now worry me.  I  made an appt for tomorrow morning, I just don't know what they are going to be able to tell me.  And if you do get blisters are they generally painful and sore? sorry to bother you with this.
Thank you

no it doesn't have to be an open sore to culture. You have new symptoms so be seen.

Okay so I went to the Dr. today...well physicians assistant.  I gave her all my symptoms, showed her my bump, which is almost non existent now, it looks like really nothing almost, She said she didn't think it was anything, and from what she could see everything looked normal. Se said she didn't think my lymph nodes in my groin felt swollen.  I had been diagnosed with HSV-1 about 8 years ago and the Drs office said that it could have been from anytime in my life having a cold sore. But I know I need to hold out to have blood test done for a couple more weeks, but as of today she said there was nothing to be cultured. Keeping my fingers crossed that everything will be ok.
