hi grace
i had an infection in my mouth since a cpl of months (since june 2010)
then on dec 05, 2010, i spotted a tiny blister on my genital
i went to see a dermatologist
he examined me thoroughly and asked me to get my blood tested for hsv1 and hsv2
results are posted
i am married
i never had pre/extra-marital physical relations
same goes with my wife
in case u wud like to know
Its to bad the doctor didn't do a lesion culture on the blister.
My advice is have your wife tested with a HSV IGG blood test so she knows her status and what precautions if any you need to take. HSV-1 genitally doesn't have a high reoccurance rate so that is a positive.
