do herpes sores always hurt to touch?

let's say you notice very tiny bumps on your penis, if it were herpes, would it always be painful to touch or rub? If not, then it wouldn't be herpes right?

So would you say at this point I should accept the result that I am hsv negative for both and just move on? I looked into it and I did take the igg test instead of igm and waited 16 Weeks after the encounter.

you should've had your symptoms actually looked at and not just blood testing. you don't need more blood testing at this point every time you have something you are worried about.

Also, I haven't had any sexual encounters since 10/28/2012. The test was done after 16 weeks. I am still symptom free as well. What is a "proper exam?" And would you say that I was properly tested?

It was just a blood test for only herpes 1 & 2 as I requested. It was much cheaper that way. It was also an igg test from empire city labs. My doctor said I was fine and nothing to worry about and then gave me the copy of the results. I still wanted to confirm with you though.

did you get a proper exam or just blood testing?

the differences in your results are meaningless.

I took a look at my blood test results from january 2012:

HerpesSelect Igg: hsv1 0.06; hsv2 0.09

February 2013: (4 months since exposure)

IGG: hsv1 0.13; hsv2 0.23

Is there any reason for the slight increase in numbers? Or should this not be a concern?

Yesterday I went and got a rush blood test by my doctor. It was an IGG blood test for herpes. I received my blood test results today and I am 0.13 for HSV1 & HSV2 was 0.23. Negative for both! However, is the igg test reliable? It was done by empire city laboratories.

odds are these are pearly penile papules which aren't std related.

I'm awaiting renewal of my health insurance before I visit. I'm just a little concerned because I noticed some extremely tiny bumps on the head of my penis. But I'm not sure if they always have been there. They don't hurt or anything when I rub or touch them. I am just wondering if it were herpes bumps, would it have been painful to touch or does it not always hurt? I would greatly appreciate your advice!
