or no lube. she decided to test me for stds anyways. then i get a call a week later on the phone saying i was positive for hsv. (keep in mind, both partners deny having it, but its possible they just didnt know they had it). anyways, i was prescribed valtrex and did my research on my disease like the doctor told me to. herpes means you have painful blisters, possible discharge, and the blisters can happen whenever. the problem i am having is that i never had any blisters, at all. i had a small red bump on my buttox but and severe discharge.,but thats it. i also had irritation on my gums in my mouth (they said that could be because of nervous and stress). but other than that, i dont think i have this disease. i think it was a misdiagnosis. and now im having those same vaginal pains again 4 months later (no sexual activity since) but less severe pains. i never had a blister down there, no sores on my mouth, nothing. and the fact that i had came to the doctor before that year complaining a few times of vaginal discharge (i have had discharge in my underwear numerous times before)...makes me doubt my disease even more. i know God works miracles and can cure any disease. and oddly enough, i think God is telling me to go get tested again, dispite the rarity of it coming back negative. do you think i have hsv? or is it probably a misdiagnosis? all things are possible....
i looked at the test result sheet a little while ago and it said it was negative for gonorrhea and chlamydia. and the other sheet said culture sample positive for hsv. it didnt say lesion culture. remember, i never had any lesions.... :/ i just scheduled a dr. appt with the same doctor that diagnosed me tomorrow. i wanna get retested....because i dont think i have this. but,...if i do, i know for a fact God still has good things in store for me. just gotta keep faith in that. i know its true.
and thanks for responding back :) i really appreciate it.
And yes you did have lesions - you had redness, pain and a tear all of which can be due to herpes.
definitely go and be seen while you have active symptoms and discuss this with your provider. You can ask about type specific herpes igg blood testing while there too. Also ask to be tested for yeast and bacterial vaginal infections too while you are there tomorrow.
