does this sound like anal herpes to anyone?

I have had a rash on the right side of my anus for a while now,I went to my doctor and he said he'd perscribe me a cream.I did not get the prescription yet but I told him I was concerned that it could be herpes,he then asked me if I had a partner other than my boyfriend,I said no and he said well you should be fine then/I recently found out after an 8 year relationship that he had cheated on me and I begged to get him tested. The sores are open sometimes and leak a clear fluid when irritated,The itch is unbearable at night and when I first got this it was on the right side of my anus,I've alwayse had a prominent fear of s.t.d.'s and I feel like this may be the end of my sexlife and it only just begun.so to everyone who may read this NEVER fully trust your partner cause it's a sad world and you never know.My doctor didd'nt even test me that day.The rash is also not located close to my anus but near the curve of the cheek could it be because of friction? I've been looking at herpies images and there is no yellow valley in the sore.my vaginal opening is normal and so is my discharge.I also sweat alot down there, can anyone please tell me if this sounds like herpes?

With things like this we always suggest that one be looked at by their provider.  The reason is no online forum can check you out and give you a for sure answer.  Think of it this way you may not describe it correctly because you aren't trained in the proper way to tell someone in a medical sense.  Even then they can be anything and we aren't doctors.  Bumps can be from yeast infections to truly anything.

Your doctor can look you over and give you an idea.  He can culture any sores you may have and have them sent to a lab for testing.  You can seek a dermatologist thoughts for the rash and everything as that is their specailty is skin. Explain your concerns that way its harder for him to overlook something.

Your boyfriend should get himself tested if his last sexual encounter was more than 3 months ago.  He just needs to go to the doctor and have a type specific IgG blood test done.  I would explain to him your concern and state that you believe he needs to get checked.  Stop all sex with him and if he wants to continue the relationship he will need to be tested.  It doesn't take long for the blood to be drawn (15 minutes if that) and to move on with finding out whats going on.  Otherwise you will have to wait until you yourself get tested by an IgG blood test and have any open sores cultured.
