drug interaction with valtrex
hello.
i have been prescribed suppositories for a mild hemorroid...i think it was called anuciort.
the dr. told me it had a steroid in it and he was unsure if it would interact with my valtrex(generic version)
i am going to ask my provider anyway,but do you know off hand if there is any reaction with those two med?

thanks,,,when you mean it can trigger herpes to be more active,,,do you mean in can increase outbreaks even while on supp, therapy?
it won't have any interactions with your valtrex but topical steroids in the genital area can sometimes trigger herpes to be more active.
also make sure you increase the fiber in your diet so you can avoid constipation and help reduce the recurrence of your hemorrhoids. if you have a job where you sit a lot, make an effort to get up and walk around regularly and take the pressure off of your pelvis too.
