equivocal score

I've been tested for herpes II twice. Both scores came back equivocal. I haven't had sex in a year and half. How likely is it that I have herpes?

I wouldn't have even retested. Your result is still a very low positive and not likely to be an actual positive.

if you really need the peace of mind, don't retest unless you use a herpes WB blood test but it's very unlikely that you really have hsv2.

I got retested. I went from .92(equivocal) to 1.14(postive). After a year and a half, shouldn;t the first test have been positive also. Is there any chance I don't have HSV2? I had the IgG type specific test.
thanks

equivocal is negative if more than 4 months has passed.  so the answer is - it's very unlikely you have hsv2.
