equviocal herpes test result

I was recently tested for herpes. I've never had a sore on my genitals. I do however have HSV-1. My test results are as follows.

HSV-1 IgG  895 IU/mL

HSV-2 IgG  105 IU/mL

Reference Ranges

Negative:  120 IU/mL

Meaning that its saying my HSV-2 is equiviocal. I have heard that having HSV-1 can cause a low HSV-2 result. So, do I have HSV-2 or is this result due to my HSV-1?

I haven't had sex in 4 months and was with the same partner for over a year before with no positive std tests. I get tested every 3 months.

never mind the duplicate post reply - too early in the morning and didn't see the one post was on std and one here. all herpes posts belong here so we'll follow up here.

the test you had done is one we don't recommend getting done. it seems to have an above average false positive rate. I recommend repeating your herpes igg blood test elsewhere . A labcorp or quest lab is preferred since they both offer more accurate herpes igg blood tests.
