eye herpes

I know that this is really stupid, but I can't help freaking out.  I have never had any herpes symptoms or anything but last night I masturbated mutually with my boyfriend  and then rubbed my eye a few min. laters.  He nor I have ever had anything but yet I can't stop being freaked out about ocular herpes.  can someone pleaseeeeeee give me any information.  i keep checking my eye every few minutes and i am really scared :(    PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME!!!!!!

Ocular herpes (herpes keratitis) is caused by HSV-1, which in most people is an oral, not genital, infection.  It's not an overly common condition and if you had it, you would probably know.  It is very painful, you would have light sensitivity, and possibly begin to lose vision in the affected eye.  I'm sure you did not get ocular herpes from this encounter.  Even if your boyfriend had genital herpes, HSV-2 does not cause herpes of the eye in most cases.
