false negative

by danrules11, Jan 07, 2009 05:35PM
i recently made out with a random girl in a concert she didnt seem to have any sores on her lips or in her mouth. i got really worried and scared. i did a lot of research on it i didnt come to any conclusions on if i can get gential herpes from making out. i went to a doctor and he said from making out i shouldnt have anything to worry about but he said he will take a blood test just saw i can seal the deal. i took the blood test about a week after initial contact with the girl. about 2 and a half to three weeks later the test came in negative to all stds known. i didnt ever really have any symptoms but i was nervous and it seemed to me that i had symptoms which didnt exist. its been 2 weeks since teh blood test and yesterday i started getting nervous about it what if the blood test came in false negative. im not sure what type of blood test i took but all i know is that he tested me for al stds and like i said they all came in negative please let me know if you think the test could have been a false negative for hsv1- and or hsv2 which both came in as negative

I recommend that you educate yourself better on std's!!  They are called sexually transmitted because you have to have sexual contact to transmit them. kissing is not sexual contact.  You absolutely, positively can not get herpes on your genitals from kissing someone.
