female - please describe symptoms

I do not have symptoms but have learned that my new boyfriend was diagnosed with genital herpes mid-October after first developing symptoms during my visit with him in mid-August, the first time we had sex.  
I have not developed sores and my blood test drawn mid-September was negative.  I will do another test in November to be sure.
Do any woman have experience with symptoms that are not mild enough to possible be overlooked?

Do you know what your blood test results were from september?  was it an igg blood test?

If you were negative in september that means your bf's hsv2 didn't come from you. How was he diagnosed?
