fungal infection Groin with Mouth Problem
Here is my problem about 8 weeks ago i had a herpes outbreak and it was bad take my meds last about 7 days before clearing up. Now at the same time i got a fungal infection in my Groin that is not going away. This time my mouth started to bother me , started with my tongue then i got sores in my mouth last only a day or two then my submental lymph nodes under chin started to ache with some gum aches and the aches are not bad.... when to dentist, ENT said everything is looking fine... Now this is the crazy thing that i was getting these cut feeling for about 7weeks on the corner of my lips doctor tell me there nothing there.. So doctor give me fluconazole 150 mg for 10days for and the cut feel went away at day three and when i was done with pills the they came back. could it be that i my have a fungal infection in my stomach or my digestive system or mouth? can someone help?? i still have fungal infection Groin
Not likely. Herpes of the genital region usually isn't spread that way. It would hurt a whole lot and a fungal infection itches a whole lot. So I would go by symptoms. If you can see the infected area if it is itchy and red probably fungus. If it is very very painful and has tiny blisters then probably Herpes. You get herpes from either oral sex or sex. Depends on what type it is.

Hi, I am a microbiologist and not a doctor. My take on this is that the Herpes probably is causing you some mouth sores or a different virus that will go away. The doctor probably shouldn't have given you the fluconazole for the cut feel.
I don't think you have any GI or mouth infection with yeast just what I said above.
As for the Herpes infection you have to treat that in 24-48 hours or the meds won't work on it anyway. Herpes goes away on its own but takes longer without treatment.
As for the groin infection. Try getting Terbinafine (Lamisil). Often fungi get resistant to the other drugs and this one seems to still be good. Use it as directed. Hope that helps.

Do you think when my herpes blister opened i could of got infected and give me a rash and there misdiagnosed me thinking it a Fungal infection ? I'm not circumcised
