genital herpes and i think i gaveit to my baby

i jus gave birth to my son almost 3 weeks ago and he was runnin a fever so i took him to er then they said he had a uti and then he got this bump on his forhead they sad it was a ringworm then today doc asked if i ever had genital herpes and i said no ans now there testin him for herpes i am soo upset cuz i never had nosigns of it wat is the percentageof me givin it to him and wat r the signs of it plz let me knw and tell me if yuh had any expierences

Update test came bak and my baby does not have herpes thank god

unfortunately I couldn't even begin to guess if this is herpes or not. Your son's doctors are doing everything absolutely right to cover all the testing bases on your son at this point.

stop back and update us when you have better answers :)

well they did a lumbar puncture on him and swabed his butt mouth eyes and nose wat r the chances that this is nt herpes i am soo stressed out since i heard this

your son could've contracted herpes from you having it genitally and transmitting it during delivery or he could've contracted it from folks with oral herpes kissing him on that area. At his age it could go either way if indeed this is even herpes.  

what testing is being done on him?

odds are that neither you nor your partner have ever been tested for herpes to know your status. most people don't have the testing done, even during pregnancy unfortunately.

did they also schedule follow up testing like a renal ultrasound because he had an uti?
