genital herpes??

hello,
i just recently had a rash that had been cultured while there were still blisteeronthe base of my penis. my doctor cultured it and it came back as staphyloccoci, some type of bacterial infection of hair follicles. yet he wanted me to do blood work. my igm tests came back negative. but my igg tests were as follows:
hsv1- 5
hsv2-1.15
he said i was positive for both types of herpes. i dont really care about hsv1, ive never had a cold sore in my life. but im worried about hsv2? ive never had an outbreak and ive heard that there are tons of false positive hsv2 tests, especially for such a low positive like mine. any thoughts?
and another question... how long does it take for someone to develop the permanent-longterm antibodies??

wait and repeat your herpes igg blood test in another 2-3 months and go from there.

are you still with the partner you last had sex with?

your hsv2 igg is a low positive and needs further confirmatory testing to be sure it's accurate.  how long prior to symptoms had you last had sex?
