you need to see a dermatologist. herpes wouldn't linger for 4 months and your blood test would be reflecting a hsv2 infection by now too.
my doctor called me this morning and said my results were negative, but shes knows its herpes just by looking at my genital bumps. the doctor said that maybe it was too soon to detect the herpes and that I should get a re-tested. how soon can herpes be detected? how long should I wait to get another test?
hsv2 genitally seems to protect against hsv1 but not 100%
no need to start suppressive therapy at this point. confirm your status first.
does genital h protects me from my boyfriends oral h?
also, do we have to be taking medication daily?
my doctor just gave me acyclovir for 10 days
sorry for all these questions im just very confused about all this:/
having hsv1 orally protects you from contracting hsv1 genitally.
having hsv1 orally , doesn't provide any significant protection against contracting hsv2.
My boyfriends results came back already and his results were hsv1 > 5.00 and hsv2<.90
does having oral h prevents him from getting genital h? n does my genital h
prevents me from oral h?
you wouldn't have a herpes ob stick around for this long without healing . even without antivirals it would've healed on its own by now.
even if you do test + for herpes, this isn't a herpes issue going on.
If you need help with your blood test results, write down the numeric results to post here - e.g hsv1 igg 5.4 and hsv2 igg .44 or whatever they are.
did you schedule a dermatologist appointment?
need moral support:(
im sad, confused, i dnt know what to do and cant control my anxiety to know my blood results.
is there such a thing as painless outbreaks?
grace thanks for your comment it makes me stay more calm to know that maybe the results are gona be nevative.
a herpes outbreak would not linger for 4 months.
I'd see a dermatologist at this point. sounds more like a fungal infection, molluscum, folliculitis or any number of other skin conditions.
