help with asymptomatic symptoms?

Dear Community, Sorry about the long post and i appreciate any help

I had unprotected vaginal intercourse and fellatio 30 days ago. Around 28 hours after sex, the tip of my penis was very sensitive and prompted me to go to the doctor. It was as if the 'rim' surrounding my penis head was inflamed and burning. The doctor took an external swab of this area and all relevant tests for herpes, gon, chlamid. The type specific test for herpes and the swab test both came back negative (as did the tests for gon and chlam).

Throughout this time i continued to have a constant burning sensation and a frequent urge to urinate. I went to another doctor around a week later and he prescribed me 1 gram of azithromycin.

I ended up going back to this other doctor at 12days after experiencing what i thought was an early sign of a breakout of lesions on my lip. The swab test of my lip came back negative and no lesions occured. (I belive this was coincidence and merely a reaction to my anti acne cream that may have been accidently applied to my lip area.) Type specific serology at 12 days also came back negative (i realise this was far too early to test but it put my mind to rest for a few days - im writing university exams and any reduction in stress is welcomed). I therefore started a course of famvir and sometime afterward (not sure when exactly -maybe at around day 20) the constant burning feeling (with no noticeable difference upon urinating) subsided. Furthermore the urine sample taken at 12 days led him to diagnose Non specific urethritis.

At around day 20 I stopped taking famvir. After abut 2 days constant burning (mild) and frequent urination were back. The doctor thought this was a coincidence and since there were no external lesions upon his close inspection at day 12 (when i thought i may have had very small papules on the penis head which he dismissed as normal and my imagination playing up) and  no external lesions upon my inspection into the future, and the fact that the pain was not excrutiating, the chances of herpes were minimal. He said its more likely to be cystitis due to the frequency of urination.I was prescribed Noroxin for a week and this course is almost finished (1 more day left) but the symptoms are still there (although with a slight improvement) - mild burning of the urethra and a frequent need to urinate.

So at the moment its been 30 days. I am finishing a course of noroxin in the next day or so. I still have a frequent urge to urinate and mild constant burning of my urethra that does not get noticeably worse when i urinate. Does this sound like a case of asymptomatic herpetic urethritis or rather something else?

Thanks for your qucik response..

I guess a more appropriate title would be unusual symptoms...
Are you infering that you dont think its a case of herpetic urethritis?

By definition, if something is asymptomatic, you don't have any symptoms. So the answer to your question is "something else."
