help with herpex results

hello

i had a herpex test a week ago and the results came out today. The test was for the detection of herpex simple -1 & 2
this is what i got.

1.10 POSITIVE
the doctor told me that i have herpex 1 but unsure about herpex 2 and the equivocal is since when i got the disease.

please help, is this accurate. Can it be confused with something else. I had a cold sore when i went testing.
i have been always having cold sores since i remember. the cold sore usually appears inside my mouth.

please help

Sores inside the mouth are not cold sores, they are canker sores and they are not caused by herpes.  Sores on the outside of the lip are cold sores, have you had that?

I can't interpret your test results from what you have posted.  There has to be more.  Can you look again and try again?

i have never have a cold sore outside my mouth , only inside ,my entire life.

Do you have an IgG for HSV 2 result?

no this was a test to detect both. but the only one that came out positive was HSV 1

however the doctor told me to get another test

do i have hope. of those tests being incorrect.    since my closes exposure to herpes. was on january the 1st and i have not have an outbrake or feel bad nothing like that.

how long does it takes for the herpes to get out .

The HSV 1 results are definitely positive, if I'm reading your post correctly, which could be either from cold sores on the mouth or genital herpes, and you've never had a cold sore, but you could still have oral infection.  We just can't tell from this blood test result.

what are the symptoms of herpes outbrake other than the blisters.

Skin cracks, red areas, irritated areas.  Some people with first infection have sensitivity to light, headaches, swollen lymph nodes with their skin lesions.  If you want to know more about herpes, I suggest you read the herpes handbook at www.westoverheights.com.

i am sorry, i promise this will be our last thread but can you please tell me that if a HIV test (the most Advance test) by pcr can predict an infection after 5 days of a risky exposure. ? or no
