help...
hi i recently found out i have herpes...this is my 9 day..my questions are: how long will it take for it to go away? ...if it reoccur the second time will it be as painful as the 1st outbeak?...how can it be spread and how can it be prevented?....

the first ob takes the longest to run its course :( Recurrences won't be this bad.
I like dermoplast spray myself ( the blue can, not the red can for the genital area ). It's a topical anesthetic that you can spray on without having to touch your lesions.
Also soaking in the tubby with a packet of aveeno bath thrown in is also comforting.
If you continue to itch and have burning after next week - be sure to follow up on it with your provider. It's not unusual for yeast or bacterial infections to occur along with the first ob in females.

i also have burning and itching...can you please tell me what i can use to prevent it...do they have anti-itch lotion etc..??
