I wanted to go for Herpes test .

may i know which test is used to test herpes 1 and  2 .

You should get a type specific igg blood test.  That will test for both HSV-1 and HSV-2 indivdiually.  Do not use an IGM test.

you can ask your provider to order type specific herpes igg blood testing.

you have to wait at least 3 months after the last time you had sex.

if someone dont have symtoms (symptoms) till after 22 months of exposure and he is infected with herpes . it will show in type specific igg test ?

It should.  There is a rare few that will never test positive via antibody testing.  But that is more than enough time for antibodies to appear in the system.  In that case the only way to know is with a lesison culture at the time of symptoms.
