No. Herpes is transmitted from the location of the infection by skin to skin contact. It's not a systemic disease.

thank you a lot, i was very worried about that. just i wanna understand something, the virus in saliva is generally the one of labial herpes? so genital herpes virus don't exist in saliva. that's right???

No, never, because, he is my first boyfriend, and except a cold sore (on my nose) once or twice a year, i have never felt something unusuel on my genital area.
also, even now, i'm still waiting for my first frensh kiss, that's why I asked my question, because til now, we just exchange cheek kisses. and i was wondreing if moving next step is risky (next step for me = frensh kissing).

you have oral herpes, odds are it's hsv1.



kissing isn't a risk for transmission of genital herpes.

thank you, it helps me a lot. but like i asked before, does touching, kissing and carressing (stomach, back, breasts...) is risky??? or it has to be genital contact to be risky??

sorry i ask a lot of questions, but really, i don't want my first intimate contact with him be stressing if i don't know answers to my questions. let alone the stress of being touched for the first time by the man i have loved for 3 years now :)
