herpes cause prostatis?

Hi ,Im age 38 male.I've been having genital herpes for more more than ten years now. It was always under control until about five years ago I keep having outbreaks like evey month. Since than , I noticed unusual pain at my groin area. I went to see a doctor and was diagnosed with prostatis(enlarge prostate). Did all the blood test and no other STD was found(except hepes 1 and 2). Ive have been taking medovir 800(aciclovir BP 800mg) half a tablet(day and night) to control the outbreaks for about two years now. So far no outbreaks but the prostate problem is still there. The pain is always at the thigh area,anus area and some times on the penis.Especially after sitting too long the pain will even spead to my back.Most of the doctors (urologist) conmented that it is not the herpes that have caused my prostate problem.One of the urologist I saw said the pain may be caused due to the prostate being infected by the herpes virus and is causing the constant inflammation.I was only given some type of strong pain killer to get rid of the pain but the drug didnt worked on me at all. Recently ,I was adviced by a GP to try to shrink my prostate by taking some new medicine(forgotten the name of the drug). After taking it for two months, my prostate had shrunk to the normal size. The pain also went away for a good two months.But the pain came  back recently!!!
Please kindly help me to answer a few questions:
(1)is the herpes causing the prostatis?
(2)what shall I do with my herpes outbreaks?
(3) Ive heard about prosta Q,can this drug really help me for my prostate problem.Im always worried about buying drugs on line.
(4) why is my pain still there when my prostate had shrunk to the normal size?
(5)can prostatis be cured?

no, herpes doesn't cause prostate issues. they are 2 separate issues.  

continue to follow up with your urologist as needed for your prostate issues.
