what it the likelyhood of contracting HSV-1 from a cold sore through oral sex if it only happened once?  also, if i already have cold sores and fever blisters (hsv-1) is it possible to get it on my genitals?

if you already have hsv1 orally, it's not likely that you'd contract it genitally later on. It can happen but it's far more likely not to happen.  having hsv1 on one body part, gives you significant protection against contracting hsv1 on another body part. always err on the side of caution and if a partner has an active cold sore, they shouldn't perform oral sex until it's healed.
