herpes from protected sex

by carl307, Aug 05, 2009 11:28AM
i had protected sexual relations with a woman a few days(6 days) after i got i pimple like lesion around shaft of penis that i assume is herpes.
The question is am i more likely to get hiv if i got herpes in this incident even if i used condom? About 7 years ago i remember i got herpes the difference this time is that i only got one lesion instead of many like last time could this be recurrence ?

You don't know it's herpes. Only testing can tell you that, not a visual diagnosis (even by a doctor).

One time protected sex is a very small risk.

Also, once you have herpes, it's for life. One doesn't get it and then get it again. At this point get your symptoms checked out and an IgG type specific blood test to know your herpes status.
