hello there.

so ive been freaking out for a week now. ive had sex with a guy like 4 times already, and the most recent was a rough one and he introduced anal sex but with the vib, not his penis., and i shaved that morning. the next day i went out to get some groceries, it was super hot in the morning but come afternoon it became very cold and i was like wearing top tank and shorts and am not driving yet so i was out all day in the hot then cold weather. the day after that, i got the fever and was shaking all night. thinking it was just from the day i was out in the cold, i just took advil. the following day, i felt better but then i noticed i had pain urinating, and i was constipated *maybe from the vib that night*. i checked myself and found a tear and it was still kind of bleeding, i was quiet sure it was from the rough sex we had, and btw it was protected sex but we both gave oral. then i noticed two bumps like pimples near the tear, looked like pimples and i can see there was pus-like fluid in the center. it hurt when i touched the center so im quiet sure its pus. i didnt try to squeeze them, hoping theyll just go away.. i still had them for two days and just today i tried to squeeze them. and didnt hurt anymore, but i can still see them. i just had my period today so its kinda hard to see them but the pus is not visible anymore. the guy said he was tested for herpes 6months ago and it came out negative but he had not been tested recently. he didnt have any break outs after that night. ive only been with him. can this be ordinary razor bumps? i know ive had these before, am just not too sure or can this be herpes? my mom doesnt know am hanging out with him, and my mom works in the lab in the hospital so there's no way am goin for a check up, help me out here pls.. :( am gonna check again tomorrow if the bumps are still present and fyi they didnt multiply theyre still two down there. thank you

i just got out of the shower today and my constipation's gone..
i checked the two bumps, they are still there but no pain, no itch, no tingling sensation upon touching. the pus like fluid in the middle is there, but veyr little, im too scared to squeeze them. but then it did not multiply or anything. i can also feel that it's going away, they reduced in size.. so could this be just razor burns? i might have over reacted but i do think they are,.

i have another question. he did not have any break outs or anything after his herpes test 6months ago. if he was indeed infected, he should have had the break out first before me, is that right? or in this case its possible for me to have the break out first?

i feel totally fine today, no fever, no anything. i only remember the bumps when i get to pee coz i check on them *they dont hurt when i pee* but over all i feel totally fine. no more fever and constipation or anything else. and ithis is the 11th day since our last contact..

you had unprotected oral sex too which is a risk.  also condoms only reduce transmission of herpes by 30%.  

also odds are this guy wasn't tested for herpes - it's not  a part of routine std testing.   Plus he's had multiple partners since he was last tested if indeed he was tested 6 months ago.


bottom line these are serious symptoms and really do sound like genital herpes possibly going on. you need to go and be seen and get properly evaluated. Since it's been 10 days it's too late for an accurate herpes lesion culture on your symptoms but oftentimes a visual diagnosis can be a good accurate place to start your work up with.  You need your urine tested also.  also you need to discuss the constipation issues also with a provider.

I know it's hard to be seen when your family works in health care but at this point you have no choice. this has been ignored long enough and needs proper follow up.

thank you. but are the chances high even if it was protected sex? i gave him oral a lot that night, but i didnt develop any blisters or anything unusual in my mouth or around my mouth so am kinda confused if its possible to be herpes down there but no anything at all in my mouth.

I don't mean to sound so straightforward, I'm sure you are worried. Unfortunately it would be pure speculation for any of us to say no, maybe or yes herpes. You know you had rough sex, and you know you shaved - both which can cause the symptoms you've had. You need to be seen by your medical provider at this point.

but if my symptoms are just fever and non-painful, non itchy two bumps, which did not multiply for 10days, considering the other factors, in your opinion should i really be worried for herpes??? thanks a lot for your advice, and am sorry if im kind of annoying already but am just worried and scared. please understand. sorry and thank you again.

At this point see a medical provider. We can only offer so much in an online forum, but if you are fevering and symptomatic, be seen.

thanks a lot.. am sorry i forgot to tell you that until now am still constipated and am thinking that could be the reason for my fever too coz my body cant get rid of the wastes inside. and then i got my period which is usually accompanied by fever every month. are my other symptoms suggestive of herpes? do blisters multiply everyday???

Fever is not caused by sleeplessness/stress. You should have a planned parenthood nearby I would think, or most counties have a health department - call and see what's available to you. Both options are based on a sliding scale for payment.

Have you been seen by your medical provider? An online forum can only offer so much; be seen if you have symptoms and want a proper diagnosis. Easily this could be from shaving - a razor, if not tossed frequently, is a hotbed of bacteria.

they are painful wen i try to wipe them but other than that, nope they dont hurt. i checked them a while ago, i think i can still see pus-like fluid, very little in the center. but no crusting. am thinking of razor burn or yea ingrown hairs but do you think razor burn or ingrown hairs stay this long? i dont even remember anymore though i think ive had them before, i cant recall, my head is just worried with the herpes scare. :(

do herpes blisters multiply everyday? or they stay the same? coz its been 10 days and i only see the same two which are like .5 cm apart..

Are the pimple-like bumps painful? If you have had them for 10 days, they should be going through the stages of a fever blister--if it is in fact herpes. Did they blister and crust over? If not, it is not herpes.

If not, if they just stayed in pimple-form, it doesn't sound like herpes. It sounds like razor burn to me, or maybe even in-grown hairs (which are more likely to occur after shaving as well.)

It is very naturally in these kinds of situations to think of the worst-case scenario...Although I am confident that you're concerns do not indicate a herpes virus; it is good that you are aware of your body and looking out for yourself.

In my opinion, you do not have herpes.

hi there.. thanks for responding.. i havent slept for a week now and am always tired from work so i get on and off fever.. should i be worried with that? today the pimple-like bumps are still present, still two of them, and its been 10 days since the rough sex we had. after his last test btw, we broke up and according to him he had sex with two other girls so am still a bit worried. thanks a lot though. you made me feel better. :) but yea am still confused and scared..

Stop worrying--

If it was herpes, it would not show up like that within the day in which you describe.

Herpes usually appear in clusters anyway, and if your partner was not having an outbreak and has been tested negative, then you should be just fine....
