herpes on chin?

I'm an 18 year old female and about a month ago, these bumps which appeared like pimples appeared on my chin. I've suffered from acne in the past so I just assumed it was just that. However the bumps seemed to have multipled and now they're a cluster of dry spots and a larger one in the middle. They don't hurt or itch or anything however I am assuming the worse, they have not released any kind of fluids either.I have an appointment today to try to figure out what it is but does anybody have any ideas or sufferered from anything similar?

I don't think I've been exposed to anybody with herpes however, I am aware of how common it is.

So no pain, they've been there for about a month and dry.

Thankss

Sounds like you're following the right course of action by seeing a doctor... Is it possible to Hsv? Yes... As you say it's common... But the doctor will be able to help sort things out for you...

even if there is no pain or fluid? also considering how long they've been there? I am just very anxious, but when I went to the doctor they said that it didn't look like a coldsore and especially if I've never had one before
sorry to add more and I'm not sure if you would know, but do you think it could possibly be perioral dermatitis? I know that probably isn't your expertise, but I am very anxious

to add, I was also using a prescribed acne gel which was similar to ziana however, rather than putting a thin layer over my whole face I would put a fairly thick layer over the initial spots. I stopped doing that when I noticed more bumps. Could the bumps therefore be a reaction to using too much of the tretinoin/clindamycin gel? When I stopped using it, the bumps seemed to dry out even more
